Woah I haven't been on this in years :O

Well since a few people have asked whether they can use my stuff for personal use. Sure go ahead, don't need to ask permissions.

Feel free to use anything you like here. I just hope that no takes any of it, edits a bit and calls it their own creation. Thanks :)

Hope everyone here has been well.

More busy times ahead! Well firstly I'll be heading down to Melbourne on Monday, and staying there for a week... After that I have a few days free until I it's that time of the year again.. Chinese New Year, since I do lion dancing, I'll be really busy during this period attending performances.. Going out early and coming home late etc.. but I still will have some days free in between.
So basically Chinese New Year performances start around 6th Feb, and goes all the way to 26th of Feb... Then uni starts again around the beginning of March...

OTL, anyway lately I've been pretty lazy with art these days... I guess without fulfilling my desires goals and desires to have fun, I can't relax and sit down long enough to draw.
Anyway... so this holiday period I haven't actually drawn much at all. I have to admit I've been away, and neglecting a lot of the new deviations and messages I'm receiving.. Sorry if I haven't had the time to thank, comment and fav everything.

So sorry everyone, I still come online and check everyday.

:iconapplesheep: got the 10k kiriban. Still waiting for her to tell me what she wants drawn and coloured.

Anyway, sorry everyone for my absence. I've been quite inactive lately and haven't gotten around to answering the many numbers of deviatios and messages.... I've been meaning to do it regularly, but I'm quite busy with uni and life lol, and now the number of deviations and messages have piled up... That puts me off from starting to answer em all.

I'm currently working on one of my own arts, hopefully will get that done soon. Maybe soon after completing it, I will try and reply to all the messages/deviations.

Busy times!

First things first, 10,000PV Kiriban, it's almost there, Just under 500 more pageviews remaining.
The first person to send me a screenshot, I will draw and colour a picture. (if no one gets it, then the closest will win).
Will draw your OC, or fanarts.

I've been neglecting dA for quite some time now. Whenever I'm on dA, I am only able to reply to messages and favourite some deviations... Not much time to leave comments or thank favs/watchers.

Well my current work which I was working on, I've barely made any progress... I'm hoping this weekend I'll be able to work on it and finish it soon.

<EDIT>
Relieved! Problem was solved so quickly... bought new parts for my computer and it's running better than ever. Thanks to forking out $320 -_-. It was an upgrade I was waiting for so long, all that's left to upgrade is some better and faster RAM (which can wait).
Spent about 3 hours taking my computer apart and installing the new hardware.. then configuring was a pain in the butt.

and FINALLY I am able to draw again, but I got some uni work to do in preparation for tomorrow's practical class first. Looking forward to the weekend! :XD: Freeedom from 5 days in a row of boring uni!

</EDIT>

doubt anyone would read this but I have to rant about how crap i feel lately.

eww my graphics card on my computer has busted...
Now I won't be able to draw for a while... until I purchase a new one, it's gonna expensive because I have to buy a better powersupply unit as well, because the graphics card is power hungry...
maybe I'll get a RAM upgrade too.. who knows, but the total costs is about $450 AUD, if I dont get RAM (no highly necessary) it would cost me total $370

OMG im making so many typos because I hate using laptops because the keyp[ad is arranged differently... Tats the reason for all these typos... to make matters worse i'm typing this journal in the dark and cannot see the keypad.

UNI omg,, I have to go uni 5days a week now OTL, stupid keypad :X:X:X
have to wake up so early and get home late, then sleep early... spending a lot of my free time. i hate u uni...

I WANNA DRAW MORE!
boohoo

on a positive note, SMASH was awesome! Thanks Aya for the gift :D Met a few Australian artists, saw lots of cosplays. Figures were EXPENSIVE! but yeah... great event anyway.

anyway enough of this ranting... I need to go sleep, its 1:30am and i gotta get up at 8 tomorrow.
I'm gonna be half dead in my laboratory practical tommorrow. not like it really matters anyway.

kiriban still stands at 10k ^^ please get it someone okay?

Okay I'm going to set the kiriban to 10k PV. Please take a screenshot and send a link to it to me via notes. If no one gets it then, the closest person to 10k will get it.
Will draw a full coloured CG picture of a character of their choice. (no mechas, no armor, and sorry no mechanical stuff). I can draw female better than male chars >.> lol...
but I got plenty of time to practice until then.

Have fun everyone 10k is still a long way away T_T
---------------------------
Uni SUCKS, my timetable SUCKS, I'm so busy this semester... minimum 4 days a week of science crap. Couldn't take up Japanese classes OMG. Now my Japanese will become rusty.

----------------------------
Anyway.. Will be attending SMASH (Sydney Manga and Anime Show) next week (8th-9th AUG). Hoping to see a lot more Australian manga artists out there. I'll be coming around to say

I'd be really happy to meet up with anyone from dA on the day. If I had more time I would go as an artist... maybe next year.

Bought a 23" LCD monitor the other day... currently using 1920x1080 resolution AND It's absolutely huge! I can draw so much easier now because of the increased workspace I got now ^^

Downside though.... I just discovered how BAD the colours are and I have trouble colouring now >_<
For those who are using LCDs... how do you manage to CG with those LCD colour issues? (bottom of the monitor is brighter than the top).

Well my parents are overseas now in New Zealand and I'm home alone with my brother ^^ Lately in my free time I've been cooking meals for the two of us. I'm having so much fun cooking and plating up the food in an artistic sorta way lol (I rarely get the chance to cook at home)... plus I got to do a lot of the house work and run errands.... so I'm losing my quality time for drawing... :X Plus the LCD monitor issue, I'm having troubles colouring >_<

Well now I got a new mascot for my DA page, name is "zephi", ^o^....

oooh and finally, I got all my results back from uni and I passed all my exams (^o^)/

 all my watchers and everyone who has been supporting me all these times, thank you all. I hope to be able to submit more quality works in the future and live up to all your expectations

Have been going out a lot because we have relatives from overseas staying in Australia, and we have to take them around sightseeing etc. Leave early morning, come home late...

Apart from that... when I do get the time, I tend to do other stuff and waste my free time to draw... been playing PSP game, Hatsune Miku - Project Diva... For all vocaloid fans, this is a MUST PLAY game. Miku is so cute, she has so many cute costumes as well! Nice dance moves which fit so well with a lot of the popular Miku songs. gonna die from moe overload!

Well anyway... hopefully I'll be able to find some time in the next few days and start drawing more.

With exams over and done with, I've got roughly 5 weeks of holidays to look forward to, hopefully I won't have too many distractions and be able to submit more artworks. Should be plenty of time to hopefully improve.
Also thanks everyone for the support. Just reached 6k pageviews today... It's already been 10 months, and I've submitted so few artworks lol.

Well, my ferret as many of you have already seen in this picture.

Was put to sleep today... (26th December 2003 - 12th May 2009)

He has been feeling unwell for the past few months. No signs of him getting any better...
He is so weak, lethargic, and not eating nor drinking much at all... He barely notices us around him anymore, doesn't even wanna play his favourite game.

We believe that he wont last through the cold in winter months... We had two choices, spend about $500 to have a checkup (x-rays,ultrasounds,blood tests etc)... and based on the results perform surgery(probably another $300 or more)...
I was not willing to pay that much, as I'm afraid he is too old already, and spending $800 is a waste. I feel bad, but I don't have that much spare money lying around...
Anyway, so the second choice was to put him to sleep... Don't want him to suffer... anymore. He had a reasonably long life according to websites, of about 6.5 years.

Well to the bright side of things, he was one of the best pets ever, so smart, knew how to perform a few tricks...He had an inquisitive nature and loved to explore, he always poked his nose into whatever we were doing. He loved chasing tennis balls and he had a huge stash of over 20 balls. His favourite game is chasing tennis balls of course, and he would go crazy and bite new balls to shreds.
He was loved by everyone in the family... and we won't forget him.

I've been so busy with assignments, exams etc... I can't even find any time to pick up my pen and scribble something. Too much on my mind atm, so all I can really do is check my messages on dA.

Got 4 assignments lined up atm, one due this Friday... almost finished it :)
10 minute Japanese oral presentation, Japanese final test and a 3000 word Japanese report.. stressing...
One Science practical report ... gonna die lol...

Then I got like 2 weeks free after my last assignment is due. Which I should be using to study for my exams, but I'm sure I'll try and draw something during that time.^^;

ah, I miss using my tablet, and I miss drawing and CGing.... Had been thinking of what to draw next in my sleep lol...

CGing... Although I gotta learn how to use the tablet first before I try it out on any of my pieces.
I was so excited to try it out, the first thing I did was doodle with it. Already loving the pressure.
Anyway, expect some, hopefully better work in the future!

For those who haven't been to comiket and plan to go sometime in the future. I highly recommend you to buy the catalog early and do some research before you attend it. I had many opportunities to buy the catalog, at Akihabara few days before the event started. And of course they sell it on the day of the event. Entry fee is free, but waiting in line is the problem. Be quick, get there early and be prepared to line up for hours.

------------

I wanted to simply experience comiket, so I went unprepared just to walk around, take a few photos and buy some stuff which looks interesting. Next time I go I'm gonna prepare a lot more and you could say become more "otaku".

28th, I arrived around 11am, just to explore and know the area... There was no line cuz 11am is considered late to attend.
OMG Tokyo Big Sight is huge! East Halls, had 6 huge rooms, West hall had 2. It was cramped, I had to walk half steps very often.Spent most of my time in the East Halls buying doujinshi. Only went to West just to quickly walk around.

Next day (29th), Arrived a bit early, Got there about 9am and lined up for 2 hours. Got inside 1 hour after opening time. People were already leaving with loads of bags. I just bought a few more doujinshi.
Went to west halls and saw so much touhou stuff omg. So many doujin soft.

I went out to take a breath of fresh air, then I noticed there was a display of "Itasha's", modded cars, motorbikes and bicycles with anime related stickers or paint. There was a vocaloid one, lucky star ones, testarossa fate... and many more.

I left after that at about 3pm to avoid the massive crowds on the trains.

I regret not going on the 30th now... The last day is the most popular and most crowded day because a lot of famous artists come.

-------
Overall it was a great experience, I'd love to go again..
A lot of females attend comiket, and quite on those 2 days I went, a lot of books were targeted for female audience.
oh and also check out the bookstores in Akihabara after the event, they sell some doujinshi from comiket after a few days of the event.

Just tell me here if anyone wants to see some photos of the event, I'll upload them somewhere and share...

Anyway, look forward to the next journal... I'm not going to go in order anymore.

I haven't updated this journal in such a long time orz... Anyway... 2 months back, I got back home from my one month trip to Japan.
Uni has started already, but I still have a lot of free time on my hands to draw and CG.

NOW... Just a very brief summary of what I did in Japan lol... cuz one month is so much to write down. (But one day, I might just scan/type up the diary I kept whilst in Japan).
----------------------

Arrived in Osaka and explored around that area (ie Dottonbori, Nanba) for 2 days before leaving to Kyoto. Spent most of our time in Kyoto looking at temples, castles and shrines (I got bored, but my friend still insisted on going).

So, after a week, it was finally time to take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Tokyo. Spent a few days together exploring places along the Yamanote line.
Then we decided to split up and go our separate ways. Went to places like Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, AKIHABARA!, Ueno,... too many to name... anyway. Well I bought a few clothes, 2 anime figures, some cute plushie thing, and lots of other random things.

I was able to meet up with a dA member during my trip in Japan. Ah, I felt very relieved to finally be able to speak proper English with someone else after so long. (btw, my friend isn't fluent in English). Also English speakers are hard to come by in Japan, a lot of people know a few English words, but you just can't have a proper convo like that...
oh btw... I can speak a bit of Japanese, just enough to be able to get by, but not enough to have long and interesting convos =D

Anyway, She was VERY kind enough to give me a tour around Akihabara =D. With her aid... I bought doujinshis and other books. We also entered a Maid Cafe ^o^ (I wouldn't dare enter by myself >.>).
We also exchange our artwork. I've said it a lot already but I love your gift so much.
I need to create something better for you next time, cuz I feel the work I gave you isn't good enough.

Next comes Comiket... which I'll save for my next journal cuz this became very long....

indeed. orz

Ahh Japan is sooo cold.... its such a big change from Sydney (30ish deg C) to Tokyo's below 10 degrees C.
Anyway I'm living in Minami Senjuu which is like 10 minutes by JR train from Akihabara! Just arrived tonight. In the past week I have been in Osaka and Kyoto... Nothing much anime related there (actually I havent been looking around for it).. Went to a lot of temples and stuff. omg its not that fun. haha.. Today I went to Nara and saw some deers. They are sooo cute. Roaming around on the major roads and stopping traffic.

I'm planning to go down to Akiba in a few days to check it out! Finally!! my long wait is over.

Exactly 2 weeks from this day and time I'll be getting off the plane at Kansai Airport.
Feeling excited, nervous and scared at the same time lol. Since it's my first time traveling to Japan and overseas without my parents. This time I'm with just one friend from my Japanese class.
I'll be in Japan from the 10th Dec - 8th Jan.
Going to visit Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Tokyo. Probably will be spending quite a few days around Akihabara too.

Also have plans to attend Winter Comiket (probably just for a day or two). But, with the current state of the global economy, I doubt I'll spend too much.

Hope the weather won't be TOO cold...
